English (Would a taxi understand my Japanese-English)?: Kind of. Otherwise, cigarettes can be a universal language. Also, in cinemas in Saigon, yes.
タクシーの運ちゃんに日本語訛りの英語は通じるか？：大体は。映画館では通じました。タバコは誰でも好きそうでしたね。

Transportation: Grab / Uber are common. They will call you beforehand so find a spot that is easy to describe to meet up, like, ATM?
交通の便：Grab/Uberが一般的。待ち合わせ場所を電話で決めるので、分かりやすいATMとかを言うと会いやすいかと。

Corruption: If they stop you, shout "Coffee Money"
腐敗：コーヒーマネーがキーワードのようです。

Sim card: Available at any convenience store.
SIMカード：コンビニで買えます。

Hospitality: You could die because of eating too much in the Lunar New Year season.
おもてなし：旧正月の食い倒れには本当に注意。

Additional comments: If you have a Vietnamese friend, please ask to take you to a street food place for Com Tam or Seafood bucket...it will break your brain. I liked how lemons can wash off all the oil on your hands too.

追記：もしもベトナム人の友達がおられるようでしたら、コムタムや海鮮料理バケツを食べさせてもらってください。脳死します。レモンで手を洗うスキルも身につくかもしれません。
