NTT com　5 - 48　パナソニック

試合序盤からパナソニックが得点を重ね、守ってはNTT comを1トライに抑えた試合となった。敵陣22m内に入っても点を奪えないNTT comと、敵陣22m内に入ると確実に点を奪うパナソニックが対照的であった。

NTT comはアタックではテンポ良くブレイクダウンをリサイクルしていたが、ブレイクダウンに人数をかけるためにフェーズを重ねてもチャンスを作れていなかった。12番の外側にボールを運び外側で活路を見出そうとしていたように見えたが、相手のアンブレラディフェンスによって12番がタックルを受けていた。また、アタックを数フェーズ(5~7フェーズ)重ねても前進出来ない時はキックを用いてアンストラクチャーを意図的に作ろうとしていたように見えたが、パナソニックのキック処理が良くアンストラクチャーは作れていなかった。

パナソニックのゲーム序盤のアタックは割とシンプルで、9-shapeとSHからのハイパントの組み合わせが多かった。基本的には相手陣でゲームを進めることを優先していた。ディフェンスはアンブレラディフェンスで前にプレッシャーをかけ、相手12番の外側にボールを運ばせなかった。また、パナソニックはタックラーやアシストタックラーが立って相手ボールキャリアにプレッシャーをかけ、相手の反則やターンオーバーにつなげていた。

Panasonic scored Tries from a beginning of the game, and let NTT com score only 1 Try. NTT com could not score even though they were in finish zone, although Panasonic scored once they were in finish zone. This difference was contrastive in the game.

Although NTT com players recycled breakdowns fast in attack, they could not make chances with many attack phases because they needed to add players to breakdowns. Even though they seemed to have brought a ball to outside of #12, #12 was tackled due to opponent umbrella defense. Also, they could not make unstructured condition because opponent was good at dealing punts, although they aimed to make unstructured condition by punts if they could not penetrate gain-line in several (5-7) attack phases

Panasonic players tended to select attack options which were combination of 9-shapes and high-punts by SH in early stage of the game. Basically they had high priority to keep in attacking or finish zone. In defense, they put pressures on opponent by umbrella defense, and they prevented opponent from bringing a ball to outside of #12. They obtained opponent fouls and turnovers by means of pressures from 1st tackler and assist tackler on opponent ball carrier.
