トヨタ 31 - 22 NTT com

トヨタが接点への圧力をかけ続け、ブレイクダウンでの攻防を有利に進めた試合であった。トヨタはアタックでは確実にゲインを切り、ディフェンスではゲインラインの前で相手を止めていた。それに対してNTT comはアタックを継続しても相手のプレッシャーを受けて（ターンオーバーや反則で）ボールを失うことが多かった。ディフェンスでも相手に押し込まれるシーンが見られた。

両チームのディフェンスについて

この試合では両チームともスライドディフェンスを行うことが多かったが、ディフェンスラインで数的不利が起こるのを防ぐ戦術は両チームで異なっていた。

バックラインを３人で構成することが多かったが、SHがブレイクダウンのピラーに入ることで数的不利が起こるのを防いでいた

セットプレーのキープ率が高く、敵陣で試合を進めることやチャンスで得点を奪うことが出来ていた

・セットプレーのキープ率が低く、敵陣でアタックを継続することが出来なかった。
　　　（特に、相手のシンビン中にセットプレーでボールをロスト（ラインアウト：３つ、スクラム：１つ）して得点を奪えなかった。）
・相手ディフェンスラインの外側をアタックするプレーが多く見られた
　　　（相手ディフェンスのバックラインが３人のため、フロントラインでの数的優位を活かそうとしていた）
　　　→セットプレーから第2CTBまでボールを運んでコンタクト
　　　→9-shapeのバックドアでパスを受けたSOが飛ばしパス

Toyota 31 - 22 NTT com

Toyota players kept putting pressures on contact points, and the game was proceeded with their superiority of attack and defense on breakdowns. They penetrated gain-lines in attacks, and stopped opponent attacks in front of gain-lines in defense. On the other hand, NTT com players lost their ball (by turnovers and fouls) many times even when they kept attacks several phases because of opponent pressures. They were penetrated gain-lines in defense.

Defense of both teams

Both teams tended to have slide-defense in this game. Strategies to prevent being overlapped in defense lines were different between 2 teams.

Tended to compose back lines with 3 players. Prevented being overlapped by compensating pillar of breakdowns by SH.

Tended to compose back lines with 2 players, which prevented being overlapped

Kept their balls in set pieces, which could stay in attacking/finish zone, and score in chances

[NTT com]
-Lost their balls in set pieces, which kept away from attacking/finish zone
　　　(Especially, they could not score any point since they lost their balls in set pieces (scrums: 3, line-out: 1) during opponent shin-bin )
-Tended to have attacks at outside of opponent defense lines
　　　(Aimed to take advantage of overlaps at front lines because opponent tended to compose back line with 3 players.)
　　　→Had contacts after bringing a ball to 2nd CTB from set pieces
　　　→Had skip passes from SO who received passes at back door of 9-shape
