我学中文有两个原因。

第一，中文是全世界普遍使用的语言。不仅在中国大陆，而且在台湾，马来西亚，新加坡，印尼等等的许多国家，中文是通用的语言。所以我相信如果我会中文，去那些地方旅行的时候，一定很容易与当地人交流。

第二，我对中华文化很有兴趣。因为许多国家使用中文，所以在那些国家里也常见许多中华文化。而且中华文化跟我们日本文化有很多共通的方面，也有不一样的地方。
所以我觉得身为一个亚洲人，了解中华文化一定会很有意义的。

I have two reasons for studying Chinese.

First, Chinese is one of the global languages. It is widely spoken not only in Mainland China, but also in many other countries, such as Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Hence, I assume that if I understand Chinese, I can easily communicate with local people when I travel to those areas.

Second, I am attracted to Chinese culture. Just like the language, Chinese culture prevails all around the world. Not only this, but there is one more factor that makes me intrigued about Chinese culture. That is to say, while Chinese culture has much in common with our Japanese culture, some of its aspects are totally different from our own culture. So I believe that as an East Asian, it is meaningful to be familiar with Chinese culture.

私が中国語を勉強する理由は２つあります。

一つ目に、中国語は国際的に使用されている言語たまからです。中国大陸はもとより、台湾、マレーシア、シンガポール、インドネシア等、多くの国で中国語が通じます。ですので、中国語ができれば、きっとこれらの地域に旅行した時に現地の人とコミュニケーションが取りやすいだろうと思います。

二つ目に、私は中華文化に興味があるからです。言語同様、中華文化も世界中の様々な国に広まっています。さらに、中華文化は、私たち日本の文化と多くの共通点がある一方、異なる部分もあります。そのため、東アジアの人間として、中華文化に親しんでおくことはきっと有意義だと思います。
