20代後半の真面目なサラリーマンであるタカシにとっては、いつもの朝の通勤だった。満員電車に乗っていると、電車がカーブで揺れて、若い女性の身体にあたったようだ。タカシが「すみません、当たりました」と謝ろうとした瞬間、女性は悲鳴を上げ、他の乗客の注目を集めた。

突然、男性のグループが現れ、タカシを電車から引きずり出した。タカシは何が起こっているのかわからず、混乱して恐怖を感じた。女性は発言した。

「この人、痴漢です！私の身体を触ったんです！」

タカシは痴漢であると非難されていた。 女性は彼を警視庁に通報した。

「違います！電車が揺れて、女性の身体に当たってしまっただけなんです！」

「お前さん、やってないって言うけどさ、裁判になったら大変だよ？何日も裁判を戦って、その間は仕事は休むのかい？示談ってことにして、数百万円払ったほうがお得なんじゃないかい？」警察官からはそのように諭されたが、無実の罪を着せられることには断固として反対した。

刑務所で数日過ごした後、タカシは保釈された。 彼は弁護士を雇い、自分の無実を証明することを決意した。

「僕は痴漢はしていない。嘘を言って、お金を払う筋合いはない！」

タカシには妻がいた。妻はタカシを支援した。当日、電車に乗っていた人の聞き込み調査をして、さらに、JRに監視カメラの映像を求めた。

数か月に及ぶ法廷闘争の末、ついに判決が下された。裁判官は、タカシは無罪であり、彼を痴漢であると非難した女性は誤りであるとの判決を下した。タカシは嬉しさのあまり泣いていた。妻も泣いていた。二人で勝ち取った勝訴だった。

For Takashi, a serious office worker in his late twenties, it was his usual morning commute. When he was on a crowded train, the train shook on a curve and hit a young woman's body.
