毎年、世界中では生産されているにも関わらず、その内の約1/3（約13億トン）の食糧が捨てられていることを知っていますか？
この食糧廃棄問題は経済、環境、社会に影響を与える大きな問題です。しかし実際に自分がどのくらい食べ物を無駄にしているか、個人の実感は薄いかもしれません。

また、食糧廃棄は、それぞれの食文化、普段の買い物の習慣、問題に対する社会の意識にも大きく影響されますが、国ごとにその違いはあるのでしょうか？
イベントでは参加者一人一人がこの問題について英語でディスカッションしながら一緒に理解していこうと思います。

この国際交流イベントは、アレックスソリューションズが主催するグローバル人材育成プログラム「GOAL」の第11回発表会としても行われます。今回このプログラムでは、研修生として世代を超えた日本人４名が参加。
SDGsの目標12「つくる責任つかう責任 」から、特に「食糧廃棄」に注目して４日間、海外の学生と各国の気候変動の影響とアクションについてディスカッションしてきました。
イベントでは、前半に日本人研修生の学習のまとめを英語で聞いてもらいます。後半には参加者全員で一緒にディスカッションしていきます。

Do you know that one-third (about 1.3 billion tons) of food produced for human consumption is lost or wasted globally per year? This is a major problem affecting the economy, the environment and society. But do we really understand how much food we waste individually? And also, is wasting food also influenced by food culture, shopping habits, and social awareness? Is it different between countries? So let's think about it globally and personally together!

In this event, we invite you to the 11th presentation event of the global online training program "GOAL". Four Japanese trainees have been discussing and comparing "Food loss and waste" among the supporters from Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Israel.
This event will be as the final day of the program to give a presentation about their conclusion.
We will also discuss the topic together after the presentation.

*GOAL is an online global training program provided by Alexsolutions. The trainees select one of the themes related to SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). They research and discuss it with the supporters from Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Israel which are Alexsolutions-related companies there.
