2024年4月25日（木）、ニューヨーク市場Close後にIntelの24年第1四半期（1～3月）の決算が発表されました。
業績
売上高の推移
縦軸の単位は百万ドル。
FY24Q2は全社合計の売上見通し。ガイダンス通りの結果とは言え、売上の回復基調が途切れてしまって残念な感じです。
Intelはセグメント名を頻繁に替えるので過去データからのトレースがしにくいです。今回は新たに「Altera」というセグメントが登場しています。これはFPGA事業を分離した子会社なので、Programmable Solutions の後継と見なし青色で示しています。

Intel 7、Intel 4、Intel 3 は既に量産工程にある。
Intel 20Aは24年の後半にArrow Lakeマイクロプロセッサのプロセスノードとして量産工程に入る。
24年第2四半期に Intel 18A の Process Design Kit 1.0 をリリース。これを利用したプロセッサ Clearwater Forest、Panther Lake は2025年上半期に量産工程に入る。
要するに、2Q24に製造プロセスの設計を確定し、24年後半はそれにもとづいて製造プロセスの立ち上げを準備して、25年に量産開始できるだろう、ということ。
4年で上記5つのプロセスノードを開発・生産するというロードマップをアップグレード。ここに最先端ノード Intel 14A を追加する。
Intel 3、Intel 18A、Intel 14A は、顧客側でのそれぞれのニーズに合わせた開発が可能になる。
ファウンドリサービスの顧客ほぼすべてと、Advanced Packaging（※1） での関与を深めていく。

Intel Vision（Intel 主催のテクノロジイベント）で、Intel Gaudi 3 AI Acceleratorを発表した。最先端生成AIモデル NVIDIA H1001 対比で推論処理速度が平均50%早く、推論処理効率が40%高いと見込む。
23年12月の Intel Core Ultra Processor の出荷を皮切りに、既に500万台以上のAI PC を出荷した。
Ultra Ethernet Consortium 立ち上げを発表した。AI fabricに対応するための、Intel主導のイーサネットネットワーク規格を策定する。
企業向けAIのためのオープンプラットフォームを公表し、企業が持つデータとXeon Plus Gaudi を組み合わせた使用事例も紹介。たとえばRAG（Retrieval-Augmented Generation）みたいな使い方。
