The Law of Beer!!

I wrote about beer recently, so I would like to add one more thing.

Have you ever heard of a law about beer in Germany?
The German/Bavarian Beer Purity Law took effect in 1516.
According to Wikipedia, this is one of the oldest laws which are relating to foods.

It was just the beginning of the Sengoku era in Japan. Wow!
Personally, this is one of the reasons why Germany is well known for beer. If you go to Germany, you can taste real beer anytime and anywhere! In short, fake beer is banned by the law in Germany!

On the other hand, we see many kinds of beer in Japan. I mean there are many kinds of beer-like alcohol which contains not only malted barley, hops, water and yeast, but also other raw materials.
We call these kinds of beer-like alcohol as Happousyu and the 3rd beer(These are low-molt beer). Japanese breweries produce these kinds of beer to provide alcohol with a reasonable price.
A liquar tax of beer is higher than that of low-molt beer. Instead, real beer is known as the most expensive beer in Japan. I can say the current Japanese government doesn't have good strategies to grow industries. Well, I'll skip the rest of this issue.

If you like beer and go to Germany, I'm sure you will enjoy German food and beer a lot!
Even for alcohol free beer, it was made for a normal beer at first. Next, a brewer dealcoholize it and then it will be alchohol free beer. I've had it in Germany before. It tasted and smelled very verygood. It was perfect with German food. (The beer in the following picture is not alcohol free.)

If you have an opporunity to go to Germany, please try both of them!

Prost!
