昔、小学校で映画の鑑賞会があった。
　錦鯉の話で、粗筋は以下の通り。

主人公の少年の家は錦鯉を養殖していた。

稚魚が成長して美しい模様を備えれば
錦鯉として高く売れる。

しかし、つまらない模様の鯉は「テンプラ」と呼ばれ　
売れないので天ぷらにされて食べられてしまう。

黒くてつまらない小さな鯉が
テンプラにされそうになった時　

「責任持って飼うから、自分にくれ」
と少年は父親にせがむ。

そして、その日から少年は
この落ちこぼれの黒い鯉を飼うことになる。

途中、育てるための様々な苦労があるのだが････　

ある日のこと、かなり大きくなった黒い鯉の背中に
一本の赤い筋が走っているのに少年は気づく。

暗闇を鋭いナイフで切り裂いたような真紅の一筋。

このテンプラになるはずだった黒い鯉は
やがて錦鯉の大きな品評会に出され　
最優秀の評価を得ることになる。

　以上、詳細は忘れてしまったが
　いい話だなあ、と今でも思う。

The Story of Colored Carp

There used to be a movie appreciation party in elementary school.
In the story of colored carp, the outline is as follows.

The hero's boys' house was cultivating coloured carp.

If the fry grows and has a beautiful pattern,
it will sell higher as colored carp.

However, a boring pattern of carp is called "tempura",
it is tempura because it can not be sold, and it is eaten.

When a black, boring small carp is about to be made into a tempura,
the boy requests his father.

The black carp that was supposed to be this tempura will eventually
be presented to the coloured carp 's big gathering session
and get the best rating.

I have forgotten details, but I still think that it is a good story.
