私の地域で感じるアートとデザインの結びつきは明らかですが、最近、データサイエンスがこれらとどのように繋がっているかを学び、その事実にわくわくしています。さらに、ストーリーテリングとこれらがどのように結びつくかを考えると、私の地域での取り組みや仕事に活かせる可能性が広がっています。

ストーリーテリングの限界と可能性
ストーリーを作り続けることによる疲れや潰れる経験に直面することもあります。なぜこのような状況になるのか、そしてどうすればそれを超えて前進できるのか。私の仕事は衣食住に関連し、それに結びつく歴史、暦、道、地図が含まれます。ここに言葉と哲学が加わり、データサイエンス、アート、デザインの場が生まれます。地域の統計分析、暦、地図、地域企業の共同事業報告会をストーリーに結びつけ、それを個人のストーリーや大きな政治経済のストーリーと繋げたいと考えています。

鎌倉市深沢地区を歩いて
最近、鎌倉市の深沢地区を歩いてみました。マンション群の中でサッカーをする元気な声、若い世代のための教育事業、医療機関、ジム、カフェ、スポーツ施設が見られ、歴史と緑が交錯していました。ここに新しいストーリーが生まれるのか、それとも政治や事業の思惑にのまれてしまうのかは未知数ですが、この地区のストーリーは若い世代によって作られるべきです。今月から、私はここで自分のストーリーを展開し、各地区で繋がるストーリーを作っていきたいと思います。

The Limits and Possibilities of Storytelling

There are times when the continuous creation of stories leads to exhaustion and collapse. Why does this happen, and what can be done to move beyond this state? My work is related to the essentials of life—clothing, food, and shelter, and includes related history, calendars, roads, and maps. Here, language and philosophy come into play, creating a space for data science, art, and design. I aim to weave local statistical analysis, calendars, maps, and reports of local business collaborations into a narrative that connects individual stories with larger political and economic narratives.

Walking Through the Fukazawa District in Kamakura City

Recently, I walked through the Fukazawa district of Kamakura City. Amidst the apartment complexes, I heard the energetic voices of people playing soccer, witnessed initiatives for the younger generation, medical institutions, gyms, cafes, and emerging sports facilities—all intertwined with history and nature. Whether a new story will emerge here, or be overshadowed by political and business agendas, is uncertain. However, I believe the story of this district should be shaped by its young generation. Starting this month, I plan to showcase my story here and create interconnected stories in each district.

Workshops and Projects in Each District

My plan includes conducting workshops in each district and developing projects tailored to each area. I also envision organizing VR story contests and guided tours in each district. Through these activities, I hope to connect with more people and create unique stories for each area.
