僕がお世話になってる大好きな曲、アンジェラ・アキの「拝啓」の歌詞の中でも好きな部分を太字にしてみる試み。そして、XGのオススメも。
ラオスでのお話
なんかこの夜はすごく辛かった。夜行バスで睡眠が足りてなくて、旅で毎日すごい刺激と衝撃で、ちょっとキャパオーバーに近い感覚があった。楽しいんだけど、辛い。そんな感じだった。
一言で言うと、共通言語がなくて、意思疎通ができない状況の辛さに直面した。みんなにもてなしてもらって、仲良くしてもらって、たくさんのありがとうを伝えたいのに、伝えられない。
自分に出来るのは、Googleで調べたラオス語のありがとうを心を込めて言うことだけ。あとは笑顔で誤魔化すしかない。言語がなくても繋がれるって言う人もいるけど、そんなはずないって思った。すごく空虚な気持ちになって、どうしようもなかった。
ラオスで自分はなんでこんな感情を味わってるんだろう？別に日本で友達と一緒に楽しく過ごすのには航空券代も宿代も体力も精神力もそんなに要らない。それなのに、なんで自分はこんな「コミュニケーションが取れないもどかしさを耐え忍ぶ修行」みたいなことをここラオスでやっているんだろう？
そんな思考も湧き上がってきていた。妙な孤独感だった。さっきまでは、路上でラオスのおじさんたちとその主催者の人の家族と一緒にテーブルを囲んで笑顔で過ごしていた。でも、その自分の笑顔がすごくフェイクだった。
眼の前でなにが起こっているかわからないのに、質問することもできないで、ただただ口角を上げながら見ているしかない。Google翻訳で頑張っても、ミリ単位ずつしか会話は進まない。
英語が話せる、最初に声をかけてくれたおじさん、そしてその家族の娘さんがいないシチュエーションになってしまうと、何もできない。なんという無力感。
スクショにある、「こんな思い（感情）にも意味があって」っていう自分が書いた文章は、間違いなく曲のおかげだった。なんだか、この曲に寄り添ってもらって、肩に手を当ててもらったような気分だった。
それがアンジェラアキの「拝啓」だった。

こんなに「背中を逆撫でられるかのような感覚」を生み出す曲ってすごい。いい意味でゾワッとする。自分の状況よりももっともっと深刻な状況を乗り越えている人がたくさんいる。そして、みんなにも迷ってしまう瞬間、不安になる瞬間もあるよね。そう思わせてくれる。安心させてくれる。そんな曲だと思う。

曲を聴いて感じること
曲の後半に、「いつの時代も悲しみを避けては通れないけれど笑顔を見せて今を生きていこう」って言われたら、すごくブルーな気持ちになっていても、「こういうときもあるよね、でも、これも含めて味わって、笑顔で生きていこう」って思える。
そして、その「力を振り絞って作った笑顔」とともに、スッと立ち上がって、「うん、なんか大丈夫な気がする」と思わせてくれるのがこの曲。
最近、昔よりも音楽の歌詞を丁寧に消費するようになったと思う。溢れるほどの思いと願いを込めて各アーティストが楽曲をリリースしている。それを、真摯に受け止めて、肥やしにして、よりよく生きていきたい。綺麗事みたいかもだけど、本当にそう思う。
でも、そればっかりじゃ疲れちゃうから、た「テンションが上がるから好き」「リズム感だけで聴いてる」みたいなのもすごく大事だと思う。
