The first Asian award winner

I took two lessons with teacher N today.

“How is your stomatitis?”
It’s our usual greeting.
Her stomatitis recovered, but I got three now.
One is on the tip of my tongue, and the other two are inside my cheeks.
When I was hungry, I tried to eat something and might accidentally bite them.
The tongue is getting better than yesterday.
It was difficult to pronounce the “th” sound due to soreness yesterday, but no longer today.

The next topic was “Michelle Yeoh,” who got the Academy Award for Best Actress.
I heard she was the first Asian person who had that prize.
I honor her.

I shared some stories regarding Michelle Yeoh with the teacher.
A famous Japanese actress, “Anne,” the daughter of “Ken Watanabe,” a renowned Hollywood star, also attended the Academy Awards and posted a photo taken with Michelle Yeoh on her Instagram.

Then I wasn’t familiar with her, so I googled and discovered that she had played with Ken Watanabe in the movie the teacher told me about in a former lesson, “Memoirs of a Geisha,” the Japanese title was “Sayuri.”
The story is connected.
Goose bumped!

As I read about Sayuri, it said the music producer was the master John Williams, who was known for so many kinds of music in the movies, such as “The Star Wars series,” “Jaws,” “The Indiana Jones series,” “The Harry Potter series, “E.T.,” and so on.

Regarding E.T., she wasn’t familiar, and I felt the generation gap, but I don’t mind.

At the end of the lesson, she shared something with me.
In her dream recently, she met her favorite Japanese actor, and he introduced her to his family.
In that situation, when people get married.
I hope her dream comes true, but he already has a wife and a daughter.
That’s a shame for her.
