Surface&Architectureのjournalでは、S&Aの新しいメンバーでトルコ出身のMerve（メルヴェ）によるデザインレポートを全10回にわたり公開していきます。レポートでは、毎回2023年のデザイントレンドをテーマとして設定し、グローバルな視点で考察していきます。

テーマ 「インクルーシビティに注目: 多様な世界における万人のためのデザイン」

Inclusivity and accessibility are at the forefront of design in 2023. When approaching design with inclusivity at its core, a new and authentic design will naturally emerge, as opposed to merely adding it as an afterthought. As our world grows more diverse, design must step up to ensure that it's inclusive, accommodating, and accessible to all ensuring that these designs are enjoyable and usable for everyone, regardless of their physical abilities, age, gender, ethnicity, or any other factors. The highlighted instances show how inclusivity in design is becoming a vital necessity rather than just a trend. Designing for all implies that we celebrate our differences and make sure no one is left behind. As we continue to move forward, it's crucial that designers work towards creating inclusive solutions.
