American Pie

Hello, there.
I'd love to share the reading report of "American Pie" today.
An American woman Kay Hetherly wrote this essay.

There were many contents based on her experiences.
I'll share two episodes.

First, she shared her grandmom's memory in it.
She didn't know why, but she suddenly wanted to ask about her grandmom's young days and decided to listen to grandmom and her older sister and record it.

As I read this episode, I regret it.
Why haven't I listened to my grandparents' stories much more because they experienced the war?
I have no chance anymore.

Next, she mentioned her memories of Summer.
According to her, so many mosquitos were in her place in Summer.
The truck came through the street and sprayed mosquito repellent there.
On the other hand, the ice cream truck also visited there.

In my case, the truck from Yamagata prefecture came to sell watermelons.
One day, my grandpa bought one, boasting that he had chosen the biggest one.
As my mom cut it, there was a cavity, so we didn't enjoy watermelon so much then.
Nevertheless, for me, it was a pleasant memory.

That's all for today.
Thanks for reading it.
I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday, the last day of GW ahead.
