Be stronger than you are today

Not being jealous of others and not despising yourself

Incidentally, it was common at that time for university graduates who joined the company to be posted to the head office rather than to a factory. In other words, there was no need to worry about being assigned to factory work, which required a lot of heavy lifting, from the very beginning.

Some colleagues complained about this. "They're good, aren't they?" But I was not at all jealous of university graduates. I would never complain.
Because I thought it was wrong for a member of society to complain when you are still a new graduate and have not yet been able to do a job commensurate with your wages, and when you are being brought up by the company.

Besides, university graduates have been in school for four years longer than I have. They are four years older than me, so naturally they have a lot of experience.

They have studied more, lived longer and have more experience than me. It would be absurd to ask them to be treated on the same level as me, and it is only natural that there is a 'gap' or 'distinction' between them when they join the company.

University graduates have a lot of things that high school graduates don't have. That reality has to be firmly understood and accepted.

Hence, feeling a strange sense of jealousy and sulking by yourself will not solve anything and will not be good for you. As a result, you cannot grow as a member of society.

That's why I have never looked at university graduates and thought that they are better off than me.

I was honestly envious of the experiences they had that I didn't have, but I didn't think anything of the fact that they started from a different starting line, in other words, that they were one step ahead of me.

As a member of society, I have no achievements, so the company's only criterion for judging me is my educational background, so it's only natural that there is a difference between us.

But that doesn't mean that it will continue for the rest of my life.

I thought that after I actually started working, I could overtake them with my effort and work performance, and that I should work hard to achieve that.

If you despise yourself because you are a high school graduate, you may never be able to make up the difference that was made at the start.
